Philmac gives Footy Tips a kick start in 2010
18 Jan 2010
After a stellar first season Philmac Footy Tips – the only exclusive water industry tipping competition in the country – is back early in 2010, with the Super 14 Rugby Union competition kicking off in February.
A new addition to the online tipping competition, the Super 14s is expected to attract even more tipsters to the draw, inciting plenty of friendly rivalry amongst those in the water profession.
Philmac’s General Manager of Marketing, Jason Mitchell, said the expanded competition would be bigger and better than in 2009 – with participants able to test their tipping skills in all three codes.
“We’ve not only included the Super 14s competition this year, we’ve introduced a weekly top tipper prize of a Philmac dart board as well as the major end of season prize of $500 for each code,” Jason said.
“Now there’s an even greater chance of winning a prize and a real incentive to keep up your tipping skills throughout the year.”
Jason said tipsters will again be able to see how they rate against others in the industry with unique website judging features including best state, best industry segment and best team tipping.
“It’s completely interactive and tipsters can compete on numerous levels throughout the competition,” Jason said.
“All you need to invest is a little bit of time, some strategic thinking and a little bit of luck and you’re set to win not just a prize but a well deserved status!”
The AFL and NRL competitions will kick off in March.
Registrations are now open, with those who get in early receiving a personalised 2010 version Philmac stubby holder.
